FAQ

Q. Do you spin and dye all the yarn yourself?

Yes! Every Dappleberry skein is hand-spun and hand-dyed by me. From preparing the fibre to spinning, dyeing, and finishing, each yarn is crafted with care in my Castlemaine studio.

Q. Where do you source your wool and fibre from?

I source most of my Corriedale fleeces directly from local Victorian farms where every care has been taken to porduce the lovely fleeces that make Dappleberry possible.

My Merino fibre is sourced from Nundle Woollen Mill in New South Wales, an Australian business that proudly supports Australian wool growers.

Supporting local farmers and Australian fibre producers is an important part of the Dappleberry philosophy.

Q. What do you use to wash your fleeces?

I wash all my fleeces using Power Scour, a gentle and effective wool wash designed specifically for natural fibres, all wool and yarns are thoroughly washed and rinsed using harvested rainwater.

Q. Do you ship outside Australia?

At this time, I only ship within Australia, as international postage costs can be quite high. However, expanding internationally is something I hope to offer in the future, and I look forward to sharing Dappleberry yarns with makers around the world.
